Bah Humbug!
It's that time of the year when any non-hermit Scrooge living in Singapore will ask, while battling the alternate tropical heat and monsoon rains, why we celebrate Christmas here.
Most of us don't enjoy the traditional elements of Christmas:
enough snow to build a snowman and make a snowangel
the fragrance of a live Christmas tree filling our living room
a beautiful wreath on our door
stockings filled with presents at the end of our beds
roasting chestnuts by the open fire
sharing a roast turkey, digging out the steaming stuffing and topping it with cranberry sauce
drinking hot eggnog
decorating a gingerbread house
kissing under a mistletoe
Alright...obviously an excuse to put some pix up... :-)
