Vanilla Pod

Chilled out at Vanilla Pod for dinner. Italian-ish place in garden setting. Good bread: satisfyingly crisp on the outside and soft and white on the inside. Had fall-off-the-bone lamb shank (braised for 7 hours in red wine sauce said the knowledgeable waiter) and pleasant digestif walk in the cool night air of Mandai Orchid Garden.

The agreeable scent of orchids dissuaded me from reciting Blake's Songs of Innocence and starting a wicked discussion on sharing the flesh of the lamb, transubstantiation and consubstantiation.
