The Continuing Search for Bible Study Places

In the perpetual search for a nice quiet place to study the Bible unharrassed, we were waylaid along East Coast Road by Chai Chee Minced Meat Noodles

and friends

Finally settled in Hong Kong Cafe, 378 East Coast Road.

Refreshing mango and pomelo slush.

The silk-stocking tea was a mockery of the sort found at Lan Fong Yuen in Hong Kong. The french toast with kaya was alright after you squish all the oil out onto half a roll of toilet paper.

Verdict: won't return for the food, but good enough place for bible study if you can tune out the Cantonese music. Seats relatively comfy, there is the blessing of air-conditioning. Customer turnover was low so they tolerated dwaddlers.
