Furry Animals and Death

There are those old online games involving the killing of various furries: bunnies with eggs, exploding gerbils in microwaves...

But I am ashamed to admit that furry animals killing themselves or attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm on other creatures simultaneously disgusts and entertains me even more. Mere callousness? Repressed sadism? A biologically defensive response to an unpleasant subject or an appropriate response to the sheer irony?

Creative little rabbits. Tell me a little smile didn't hover over your lips as you squealed with horror...

But this bunny suicide was most poignant:

A very good way of killing ourselves is not to bother with warnings that God's judgement is upon us. Then, it wouldn't be the end of all horror but the beginning of eternal horror. And it wouldn't be funny at all.
