"Box of Necessities"

'Box
"Take everything you need". And they all fit in a plastic Ikea box. Yet even these everythings were expendable; replaceable.

Goodbye old parquet floor, goodbye stupid overbright Yamaha piano, goodbye old room with generations of birds' nests in its roof, goodbye old house - here we have lived and some have died. Only photographs and memories remain. But photos will fade and memories will fail. And the years that have passed, shall passed unmarked, and unknown to anyone, but i. And He.

Yet also:
Goodbye ulus-ville, hello civilisation.

Or slightly more temptingly, throwing the box in the boot:
Goodbye Singapore, hello long scenic drive to the Isle of Mists, Eilean a' CheĆ². Only, when we finally come to rest at the foot of the An Cuiltheann, we will find our sin still hanging like albatrosses around our necks.
